CBI conducts searches in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh in illegal sand mining case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday raided 12 locations in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh (UP) in connection with illegal sand mining case.

As per sources, CBI raided the residences of senior officers, including IAS officer B Chandrakala and leaders of Samajwadi party.

The searches were conducted in Delhi and across multiple districts of UP, including Jalaun, Hamirpur, Lucknow.

CBI had registered a case in the matter on the instructions of the Allahabad High Court.
