BJP MP from Bhopal, Sadhvi Pragya, who praised Mahatma Gandhi’s killer Nathu Ram Godse on Wednesday in Parliament, has been removed from the consultative committee of defence by the BJP. The opposition had strongly criticized the BJP for including Pragya Singh in the committee, who is accused in Malegaon blast. Pragya will also not be able to attend BJP’s parliamentary meetings for the rest of the winter session.
BJP working president JP Nadda on Thursday morning said that the way the party MP Pragya Singh praised Godse in Parliament, the party considers it completely wrong. This cannot be allowed. Nadda said, “Pragya Thakur’s statement yesterday in the parliament is condemnable. She will be removed from the consultative committee of defence.”
Sadhvi Pragya had praised Nathu Ram Godse, during the debate on the SPG bill in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, after which the opposition including the Congress created a lot of uproar.
