Aeromexico plane crashes in Mexico after takeoff, everyone on board survives

An Aeromexico plane with 101 people on board crashed soon after take-off in Durango on Tuesday afternoon.

“All the passengers and crew members survived the crash. However, several people were injured in the accident”, said, Mexican officials.

Aeromexico Flight AM2431 was heading to Mexico City with 97 passengers and four crew members when it crashed shortly after taking off at the General Guadalupe Victoria International Airport about 4:00 pm on Tuesday (local time).

“We confirm that there were no fatalities in the accident of flight AM2431,” Durango Governor Jose Aispuro said on Twitter. 

At a press conference, Durango State Governor Jose Aispuro said, “the plane had tried to abort take-off due to bad weather but were not able to and crashed at the end of the runway”.
