5 killed after fire breaks out in cloth godown in Pune’s Uruli Devachi

At least five people were killed on Thursday morning in a major fire that broke out in cloth godown at a village in Pune, Maharashtra, police said.

Fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

According to an official, the fire was reported at around 5 am from Uruli Devachi village.

The blaze quickly spread from the shop to the room above where the workers were asleep in a room.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
