As many as 276 Indians have been infected with coronavirus abroad. These include 255 in Iran, 12 in the UAE, five in Italy and one each in Hong Kong, Kuwait, Rwanda, and Sri Lanka, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) informed in Lok Sabha on Wednesday.
Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha said the total number of Indians infected by coronavirus is 276.
Iran is one of the worst-affected countries by the coronavirus with over 700 deaths and nearly 14000 people infected.
In Italy, the death toll has climbed to more than 2500.
Ministry of health has confirmed 147 coronavirus cases in India with three fatalities.
