PM Modi slams opposition, sets the tone for 2019 Lok Sabha elections

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address on the concluding day of BJP’s two-day national executive meeting on Sunday attacked Congress president Rahul Gandhi and said that many leaders within the Congress are not ready to accept his leadership.

Without naming Rahul Gandhi, PM said “No one is ready to accept the leadership of Congress. Many think it is not capable of giving leadership.”

Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, while giving a brief about the points made by the Prime Minister, said, “The political resolution blends the essence of economic resolution. This time focus was on political resolution and the NRC.”

While slamming the Congress for spreading “lies and falsehood”, PM also questioned the idea of “mahagathbandhan” and said those who cannot see eye to eye, have no political or logical understanding of working with each other are thinking of ‘mahagathbandhan’.

PM also said that the ‘mahagathbandhan’ is a clueless leadership formation.

Accusing the Congress of spreading lies, PM said “those who are asking us questions should also answer on work done during 48 years of the family (Nehru-Gandhi) and 48 months of our BJP government. When comparison is made, we will also ask questions regarding on who the family worked for, with what consideration and objectives.”

Meanwhile PM Modi gave two new slogans to the BJP cadres-‘Ajaye Bharat’ and ‘Atal Bharat’ saying that he saw no challenge to the party from anyone.
