Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai declared containment zone after 26 nurses, 3 doctors test COVID-19 positive

Mumbai’s Wockhardt Hospital has been declared a containment zone by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) after three doctors and 26 nurses tested positive for the highly contagious novel coronavirus.

The administration has closed the entry and exit gates of the hospital till all the patients test negative twice.

According to the sources, the nurses who tested positive have been shifted to the hospital from their quarters while two of the COVID-19+ doctors have been admitted to Seven Hill and one in SL Raheja Hospital in Mahim.

Maharashtra has reported maximum number of COVID-19 cases in the country with 690 infected and 45 deaths.

More than 4,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus in India and the death count has crossed the 100-mark, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday.
