With over 61,000 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, India’s tally mounts to 20.88 lakh

With a single-day spike of 61,537 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, India’s tally rose to 20,88,612 on Saturday, according to Health Ministry data.

Of the total cases, 14,27,005 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 6,19,088 active cases of COVID-19 in India.

The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients stands at 68.32%.

A total of 42,518 coronavirus patients have lost their lives.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Saturday said a total of 2,33,87,171 samples have been tested up to August 7 of which 5,98,778 samples were tested yesterday.
