India has reported 86,821 new cases of coronavirus and 1,181 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 63,12,584, while the death toll rose to 98,678, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 52,73,201 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 9,40,705 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 83.5%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 7.56 crore samples have been tested up to September 30 of which 14,23,052 samples were tested yesterday.
