India has reported 78,357 new cases of coronavirus and 1045 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 37,69,523, while the death toll rose to 66,333, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 29,01,908 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 8,01,282 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 77%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 4.43 crore samples have been tested up to September 1 of which 10,12,367 samples were tested yesterday.
