Jammu and Kashmir: Army officer martyred in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Rajouri

An army officer on Wednesday lost his life in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan, in the Keri sector of Rajouri. More details awaited.

In another incident on Sunday, a JCO of the Indian Army lost his life in the Naushera sector of Rajouri due to a ceasefire violation by Pakistan.

According to the Indian Army, on 30 Aug, movement of suspicious persons was detected along the Line of Control in Rampur Sector, Baramulla district. The movement was from a village close to the LoC & the suspects had crossed into Indian territory.

“These attempts expose the desperation of Pakistan based terror groups to infiltrate weapons into J&K, with the active connivance of Pakistan Army. Robust surveillance and LoC domination will continue to deny all such misadventures,” Indian Army said.
