With 63,371 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 895 related deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s tally stands at 73,70,469, while the death toll rose to 1,12,161, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 64,53,780 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 8,04,528 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 87.56%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 9.22 crore samples have been tested up to October 15 of which 10,28,622 samples were tested yesterday.
