With 50,129 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 578 deaths in the past 24 hours, India’s tally stands at 78,64,811, while the death toll rose to 1,18,534, according to Health Ministry data.
Of the total cases, 70,78,123 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 6,68,154 active cases of COVID-19 in India.
The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 90.00%.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 10.25 crore samples have been tested up to October 24 of which 11,40,905 samples were tested yesterday.
