Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Friday attacked the Centre over abrogating of Article 370 and said that the country will run on the Constitution and not on the BJP’s manifesto.
In her first press conference after being released from 14 months of detention she said, “We will raise the Indian Tricolour when we get Jammu and Kashmir’s flag back”.
Mehbooba said her goal is the final solution of Kashmir rather than just restoration of Article 370. “BJP desecrated Constitution of India for petty party manifesto,” she added.
The 61-year-old leader also said that she won’t take part in elections until Article 370 is restored.
The PDP chief who was in detention from August 5 last year after the abrogation of the special status of the erstwhile state, was released on October 13.
