‘Don’t lie to people of Bihar’: Rahul Gandhi attacks PM Modi in Bihar rally

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday attacked PM Narendra Modi-led central government for its failed promises. Addressing a rally along with Tejashwi Yadav in Bihar, Rahul said, “One of Modi ji’s biggest jumlas-employment generation. Leave alone creation of new jobs, his “masterstrokes” have led to an unprecedented wave of job losses. Bihar will fight this wave, India will fight this wave.”

Rahul said, the Prime Minister was systematically destroying the poor farmers and the small traders through policies like demonetisation, GST and now farm laws.

“They announced demonetisation & said it is a fight against black money. Did you benefit? No. Your money was taken away & debts of Adani & Ambani were waived off. Congress government had waived off loans worth 70 thousand crore for farmers,” he added.

“A government for Bihar’s farmers, labourers, a government for Bihar’s development needs to be brought in Bihar. Narendra Modi said the fight against Corona will be won in 22 days, but the labourers of Bihar were sent back from other states,” Rahul said.

“Narendra Modi do not lie to the people of Bihar, instead tell them how much employment did you generate for them and when. You promised 2 crore jobs in the last election. Did you do it? No,” he asked.

“I am confident this time Bihar will see the reality and give the right answer to Narendra Modi & Nitish Kumar,” Rahul said.

“Only a Govt with compassion for people and respect for democracy can work for the real development of citizens. Unfortunately, Modi & Co have neither of these traits,” he added.
