WFH tips : From a Business Head

We all heard about work from home (WFH) many a times but never experienced like wise. Many employees will be working from home for the first time, which means figuring out how to stay on task in a new environment & deliver results/ productivity.

Like Most Work Places Me and my team are sticking to Video Calls to stay connected as per daily schedules to resolve immediate challenges & build our responses to emerging situations.

There are ways to deliver results and avoid going stir-crazy, from setting up a good workspace to the way you talk to your team.

Crank up the communication

Coronavirus or not, the key to working from home is clear communication with your TEAMS– and knowing exactly what’s expected from them for the Day .“Have really clear-set expectations for communications day to day,” “Ask [Team] if they don’t mind having a 10-minute call to kick off the day and wrap up the day.”

Treat it like a real job

There are also some timeless WFH tips to call upon. For example, just because you can lounge around in your pajamas or Bermudas doesn’t mean you actually should. “Take a shower and get dressed. Treat it like a real job.”

If you don’t have a home office, do as much as you can to create an ad hoc, bespoke space exclusively for work. “Not having a well-equipped home office space can cause a temporary decrease in productivity,”

Create boundaries within your home that your family members understand: ‘When the door is closed, pretend I’m not there.’

With a dedicated workspace where you can concentrate, it becomes easier to unlock the benefits of remote work.

Benefits of working from home are like fewer interruptions from colleagues, minimal office politics and reduced stress from commuting.

Its good to do some bit of Yoga, exercise , meditation to keep the fitness levels and Spirits High.

Take Regular Breaks :

Give yourself adequate time during the day to walk away from the computer screen and phone. A lunch hour and two 15-minute breaks Should be taken.

& Lastly Have fun with your colleagues

Have a mantra of never taking yourself too seriously. Just like in a real office environment, joke around, make fun of each other, make stupid GIFs of each other, share thoughts , old vacation photos, do competitions, etc. It makes it easy for us to still have fun and have connected with your colleagues and peers!!
