Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Friday said she and her son Dushyant Singh have self quarantined themselves after singer Kanika Kapoor, a guest they met in Lucknow was found to be positive for coronavirus.
“While in Lucknow, I attended a dinner with my son Dushyant & his in-laws. Kanika, who has unfortunately tested positive for #Covid19 was also a guest,” Vasundhara tweeted.
“As a matter of abundant caution, my son & I have immediately self-quarantined and we’re taking all necessary precautions,” she added.
Raje, her son and his in-laws had recently attended a dinner in Lucknow where Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor was also a guest.
Kapoor has tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. She confirmed the news by sharing a post on her official Instagram account. She arrived in Mumbai from London 10 days ago and said that she began to develop flu like symptoms four days ago.
Dushyant Singh met President Kovind on March 18, as part of a delegation of MPs from Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Singh also attended parliament, said Trinamool Congress member Derek O’Brien, who has gone into self-quarantine.
“Am on self-isolation and following all protocol, as I was sitting right next to MP Dushyant for two hours at a #Parliament meeting on March 18. #COVID19,” Derek O Brien tweeted.
