Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday filed his nomination from Amethi, Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
UPA President Sonia Gandhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her husband Robert Vadra were also present there.
Ahead of filing his nomination Rahul Gandhi along with Priyanka and Robert Vadra held a roadshow in Amethi.
Rahul will face the BJP’s Smriti Irani for the second consecutive time, who is likely to file her nomination papers on Thursday.
The seven-phase Lok Sabha Elections is slated to begin on April 11 and the counting of votes will take place on May 23.
