US plane crash kills nine, injures three in South Dakota: Reports

Nine people have been killed after a plane crashed in the US state of South Dakota, authorities said.

The Pilatus PC-12, a single-engine turboprop plane with 12 people on board crashed shortly after take-off from the Chamberlain airport, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Nine people were killed and three were injured, sources said.

According to the US media reports, Chamberlain and south-central Dakota were under a winter storm warning at the time of the crash.
