US offers assistance to bring preparators of Pulwama terror attack to Justice

In the wake of the Pulwama terror attack, US National Security Advisor John Bolton, in a telephonic conversation with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval said that the US offers all assistance to India to bring the perpetrators and backers of the attack to justice.

The call was initiated by the US side to express condolence and outrage over the Pulwama attack by Pakistan-based terrorist group JeM.

Ambassador Bolton supported India’s right to self-defence against cross-border terrorism.

The two NSA vowed to work together to ensure that Pakistan ceases to be a safe haven for JeM and terrorist groups that target India, the U.S. and others in the region.

They resolved to hold Pakistan to account for its obligations under UN resolutions and to remove all obstacles to designate JeM leader Masood Azhar as a global terrorist under the UN Security Council Resolution 1267 Committee process.

At least 40 CRPF personnel were martyred and many injured on Thursday in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
