Union Minister for Textiles and Women & Child Development Smriti Irani on Wednesday tested positive for COVID-19.
Informing about her health condition, Smriti in a tweet said, “It is rare for me to search for words while making an announcement; hence here’s me keeping it simple — I’ve tested positive for #COVID and would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest.”
Smriti Irani had been participating in election rallies in Bihar for past few days.
On October 27, Smriti addressed a rally in Bihar’s Gopalganj and Kalyanpur. Whereas, she addressed a rally in Bodh Gaya on September 26.
Earlier on October 27, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale tested positive for COVID-19.
