Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday called Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal a hypocrite after the AAP supremo announced of observing a fast in support of ongoing farmers’ protest against the Centre’s new farm laws.
Javadekar said that this was nothing but hypocrisy.
“@ArvindKejriwal this is your hypocrisy. You promised amendment to APMC Act in Punjab assembly elections. You notified one farm law in Delhi in November 2020 and you are on fast today. Nothing but hypocrisy,” Javadekar tweeted.
On Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said he will observe one-day fast today to show support for farmers, who are protesting against the three farm laws. He also appealed to all Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers and supporters to observe fast for a day in solidarity with protesting farmers.
Thousands of farmers have been protesting on the outskirts of Delhi since November 26 demanding an immediate withdrawal of the farm laws.
