A suspected operative of the Islamic State was arrested with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) after exchange of fire with Delhi Police in Dhaula Kuan area of the National capital late on Friday, officials said on Saturday.
The exchange of fire took place last night along the Dhaula Kuan-Karol Bagh route.
The ISIS operative was arrested along with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) that were in his possession.
The operative has been identified as Abdul Yusuf Khan, a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
Abu Yusuf was arrested by the special cell of the Delhi Police. He was planning a lone wolf attack in the national capital, officials said.
