The Mumbai Sessions Court on Thursday reserved till September 11 its order on the bail plea filed by actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik.
The special court reserved its decision in the matter for tomorrow after hearing the pleas today.
This means that Rhea has to remain in Byculla jail tonight as well.
After Rhea’s bail plea was rejected by the magistrate court, her lawyer informed that a special court in Mumbai will hear Rhea and Showik’s bail plea on Thursday.
In her bail request, the 28-year-old actress stated that she is innocent and was falsely implicated in the case.
Rhea was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on Tuesday for her alleged involvement in a drugs case linked to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The NCB arrested Rhea Chakraborty after days of questioning. She was named as an accused in the CBI investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14.
