The Unnao rape survivor and her lawyer, who were admitted to Lucknow’s King George Medical University Hospital will be shifted to AIIMS in Delhi, the Supreme Court ordered on Monday.
On Friday, the Apex Court had deferred the decision on moving the rape survivor to AIIMS, after the girl’s family said they want her treatment to continue in Lucknow.
The Unnao rape victim and her lawyer were critically injured when the car they were travelling in was hit by a truck in Rae Bareli on July 28.
Two of the survivor’s aunts including one who was a witness to the crime were also killed in the accident.
According to the sources, the doctors at King George’s Medical University Hospital said that the rape survivor’s condition was improving.
