Ranbir Singh has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi, on November 27.
He succeeded Vijay Kumar Dev who has been appointed as the Chief Secretary, Government of NCT of Delhi with effect from the date of joining till further orders.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had issued the order appointing Singh, 1991 batch of Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory cadre.
“I am directed to forward herewith the Commission’s Notification No. 154/DL/ 2018.P.Admn. dated 26.11 2018 appointing Dr. Ranbir Singh, IAS as the Chief Electoral Officer, NCT of Delhi in place of Shri. Vijay Kumar Dev, IAS,” an official order by MHA reads.
