Six people were killed and at least two were injured on early Tuesday after a portion of a compound wall of Sinhgad College in Ambegaon in Pune collapsed on an adjoining labour camp following heavy rains.
The incident was reported at 1.15 AM on Tuesday.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) had rushed to the spot for the rescue operation.
According to the sources around 8-10 persons were trapped under the debris. So far bodies of the six deceased have been recovered.
The injured in the wall collapse were taken to the hospital for further treatment.
