Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who made her debut speech on Tuesday in Gandhinagar also made her first tweets hours later.
The tweets were related to her first visit to Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram.
“In the simple dignity of Sabarmati, the truth lives on,” Priyanka said.
She also tweeted, quoting the Father of the Nation against violence.
“I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent,” Mahatma Gandhi, Priyanka said in another tweet.
Priyanka had garnered a massive response on joining Twitter, attracting over one lakh followers on the social media platform within a few hours.
Priyanka was appointed as AICC General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East by Congress president Rahul Gandhi on January 23.
