Prime Minister of Czech Republic Andrej Babis calls on President Ram Nath Kovind

Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babis on Saturday called on President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

Welcoming the Czech Prime Minister to India, the President fondly remembered his own visit to the Czech Republic in September 2018.  

Kovind said that India counts the Czech Republic as a key partner in its growth story.  

The President thanked the government of the Czech Republic for hosting the ‘Czech Make in India’ pavilion at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gandhinagar.

He said that there are immense opportunities for Czech technology and manufacturing in India.

The President said that along with an economic partnership, defence is a key pillar of India-Czech bilateral relations.  

The Czech Prime Minister met Kovind after attending the Vibrant Gujarat Summit at Gandhinagar in Gujarat.  

Kovind expressed hope that the two countries will move forward from a traditional buyer-seller relationship to one where we can co-develop and co-produce defence equipment.
