Attacking China for the spread of COVID-19 in the world, US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said that President Donald Trump is committed to holding China accountable for the Virus.
“@SecPompeo: President @realDonaldTrump is committed to making sure that we hold China accountable for this virus now destroying hundreds of thousands of lives all across the world and billions of dollars in wealth. We will hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable for that,” said US State Department quoting Pompeo in a tweet.
Earlier Pompeo targeted the Confucius centres and called them a propaganda arm of Chinese communist party, In a tweet, he said, “The Confucius Centers are a propaganda arm of the Chinese Communist Party and serve as hubs for disinformation and malign influence at American universities. Do not be fooled, they are not cultural centers.”
US-China relations have worsened in recent times with both fighting over many issues.
