With 90,802 new cases, India’s COVID-19 tally rise to 42.04 lakh

India has reported another spike of 90,802 new cases of coronavirus and 1,016 deaths in the last 24 hours. The COVID-19 tally in the country now stands at 42,04,613, while the death toll rose to 71,642, according to Health Ministry data.

Of the total cases, 32,50,429 have been cured/discharged/migrated. There are 8,82,542 active cases of COVID-19 in India.

The recovery rate among coronavirus patients stands at 77.3%.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said over 4.95 crore samples have been tested up to September 6 of which 7,20,362 samples were tested yesterday.
