President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narerndra Modi on Friday paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 96th birth anniversary.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid their tributes at the Sadaiv Atal Samadhi of the late Prime Minister in Delhi.
Before heading to the memorial, PM Modi in a tweet said that Vajpayee took the country to unprecedented heights of development. His efforts to build a strong and prosperous India will always be remembered
