Four persons, including two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and a sub-inspector, were arrested on December 3 in connection with the police constable recruitment exam paper leak, an official said.
The examination was canceled hours before it was scheduled to start on December 2 after authorities learned that the question paper was leaked. The complaint was filed by Virendra Singh Yadav, Superintendent of Police, CID (crime), who is also a member of the recruitment board.
Police said that the primary probe has revealed that the paper was leaked from Delhi and the person who got the paper has also been identified.
An FIR was lodged with a Gandhinagar police station and mentions names of Yashpalsinh Jasvantsinh Solanki, Rupal Sharma, BJP leaders Manhar Ranchodbhai Patel and Mukesh Muljibhai Chaudhary, and police officer P V Patel.
A senior police official said that the main accused, Solanki, was still at large and efforts were on to arrest him.
The BJP state party unit ordered the suspension of both the members with immediate effect following their arrest.
