Pakistan violates ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district

Pakistan on Sunday violated ceasefire along Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to reports, Pakistan initiated the unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing mortars and other weapons along the LoC in Shahpur, Kirni & Qasba of Poonch district. Indian Army retaliated befittingly.

“#Pak continues unprovoked #CeasefireViolations along LoC. Today initiated small arms firing & shelling with #Mortars along #LoC in Shahpur, Kirni & Qasba sectors in Distt #Poonch #IndianArmy retaliates befittingly,” Pro defence Jammu said in a tweet.

Since the beginning of this year, Pakistan has committed over 3,190 such ceasefire violations in which 24 civilians have been killed and over 100 injured.
