Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held delegation level talks with his Norwegian counterpart Erna Solberg.
“Exploring new avenues for deepening bilateral relationship. PM @narendramodi and PM Norway @erna_solberg held delegation level talks. Discussed bolstering relations in trade & investment, blue economy, oceans & marine resources, climate change, SDGs & renewable energy,” Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
“PM @erna_solberg and PM @narendramodi had fruitful discussions pertaining to aspects relating to the ocean economy.” PMO tweeted.
Prime Minister Solberg, who arrived In Delhi on Monday, was accorded a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan this morning.
“Norwegian PM @erna_solberg accorded ceremonial reception @rashtrapatibhvn in the presence of PM @narendramodi. PM Solberg is on 2-day State Visit accompanied by a large business delegation and will deliver the inaugural address @raisinadialogue,” Kumar said
Ahead of delegation level talks Prime Minister Modi welcomed Erna Solberg to India.
“Adding strength and momentum to our relationship. PM @narendramodi warmly welcomed his Norwegian counterpart @erna_solberg to India ahead of delegation-level talks. The leaders last met at India-Nordic Summit in April 2018. India & Norway share warm and friendly relationship,” Kumar added.
Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on Solberg and the two leaders had a good exchange of views on expanding ties across all sectors.
“EAM @SushmaSwaraj called on PM of Norway @erna_solberg today morning. Good exchange of views on expanding ties across all sectors. Immense opportunity to cooperate in blue economy, shipping, fisheries & aquaculture and renewable energy,” Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
