Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was insulting veteran leaders like L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi by not letting them contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Kejriwal said in series of tweets that insulting elders was not part of Hindu or Indian culture.
“The way Modi insulted his elders – LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, this is against Hindu culture. In Hinduism, we have been taught to respect our elders,” Kejriwal said.
Kejriwal said that those who built the “house” had been thrown out and wondering about the “loyalty of those who are not loyal to their elders.”
Joshi today announced that the BJP had told him not to contest the Lok Sabha election. Earlier the BJP had also denied ticket to LK Advani and replaced him with party President Amit Shah from the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat in Gujarat.
