Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi will visit Kerala on Friday. This is PM Modi’s first visit to the state in his second term as prime minister.
According to the sources, PM Modi will reach Kochi today and will stay overnight at the port city. On Saturday morning, he will offer prayers at Sree Krishna Temple in Guruvayoor and later meet and address party functionaries in the temple town. Moreover, Modi will inaugurate the permanent helipad in Guruvayoor.
Congress President Rahul will reach Wayanad for a two-day visit in the Lok Sabha constituency, from where he recently won the Lok Sabha Elections with record margin.
Rahul’s visit is aimed at thanking the people of Wayanad and to interact with party workers.
“Congress President @RahulGandhi will be visiting Wayanad, Kerala from June 7th to 9th, to thank the people for their love & support,” Congress party had said in a tweet.
“Rahul will reach Kerala today and he is expected to spend two days in Wayanad. Rahul is holding six roadshows in Malappuram and Wayanad districts.,” said sources.
This is for the first time when both PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi will be in the southern state during the same period.
