PM is refusing to fight COVID-19: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said that the Modi-government is refusing to fight the COVID-19 pandemic

The former Congress President tweeted out a media report in support of his comments and remarked that while COVID-19 is spreading rapidly into new parts of the country, the government of India has no plan to defeat it.

“Covid19 is spreading rapidly into new parts of the country. GOI has no plan to defeat it,” Rahul said in a tweet.

“PM is silent. He has surrendered and is refusing to fight the pandemic,” Rahul added.

For the past few weeks, the Congress leader has been attacking the Modi government over the killing of Indian soldiers by the Chinese troops in a violent face-off in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley.

Rahul yesterday urged PM Modi to speak up about the violence at Ladakh’s Galwan Valley.

“A few days ago, the prime minister said – not a single inch of Indian land has been taken by anyone, no one entered inside India’s borders. However, we have heard, people are talking about it, satellite photos, Ladakh’s residents and army’s retired generals are saying that China has snatched our land. China has taken away our land not just at one place but in three areas,” the Congress leader said during a virtual address.

Urging Modi to speak the truth, Rahul said: “Don’t be afraid. If you say that no land has been taken when it actually has, it will be China’s gain…The entire country is standing with you.”
