Pizza delivery boy tests coronavirus positive in Delhi, 72 families quarantined

A pizza delivery person of a popular pizza chain tested positive for coronavirus in Delhi. He had delivered pizzas to 72 families in south Delhi areas like Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar.

These families have been home quarantined.

Some more delivery boys who came in contact with the boy have been sent to the Delhi government’s quarantine facility in Chhatarpur.

According to South Delhi District Magistrate BM Mishra, we have identified the houses in which he made deliveries in last 15 days. 72 families that he had visited have been asked to remain in home quarantine.

The delivery boy has been admitted to a hospital and undergoing treatment there.

Delhi has the second-highest number of COVID-19 cases in India after Maharashtra. So far more than 1,500 people have tested coronavirus positive in Delhi while 32 have lost their lives.
