Actress Payal Ghosh on Tuesday met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and discussed the details of her case against Anurag Kashyap. Payal also presented a memorandum to the Governor.
Payal was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale. Payal said that the Governor supported her and she will not stop till the justice prevails.
After meeting Governor Koshyari, Payal in a tweet said, “Had a great meeting with honorable @maha_governor Shri @BSKoshyari Sir. He had supported me and we have to go all the way. The naysayers will be there but I will not stop, not stop and not stop. Bring it on!!”
“Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale accompanied by film actress Payal Ghosh met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai and presented a memorandum,” the official account of Governor of Maharashtra said in a tweet.
Payal on Monday met Ramdas Athawale. Extending support to Payal after the meeting, Athawale asked the Mumbai Police to immediately arrest Anurag Kashyap.
“According to Payal Ghosh’s arguments, Mumbai Police should arrest Anurag Kashyap. Otherwise we will protest soon,” Athwale said in a tweet.
Payal thanked Athawale for his support and said, “Thank you @RamdasAthawale Sir for standing by me and supporting me,” Payal tweeted along with pictures from the meeting at Athawale’s office in Mumbai.
Last week, Payal filed an FIR against Anurag Kashyap at Versova Police Station in the city, accusing him of sexual misconduct in 2014.
