Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri Sector

Pakistan on Wednesday violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri sector of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to reports, Pakistan initiated the unprovoked ceasefire violation in the morning by firing mortars & other weapons along the LoC in Uri sector. Indian Army retaliated befittingly.

Chinar Corps, Indian Army in a tweet said, “Pakistan initiated an unprovoked Ceasefire Violation along LoC in Uri Sector, Baramulla District today morning by firing mortars & other weapons. Befitting response was given.”

Since the beginning of this year, Pakistan has committed over 3,190 such ceasefire violations in which 24 civilians have been killed and over 100 injured.
