At least seven people were killed and more than 70 were injured on Tuesday in a powerful explosion that ripped through an Islamic seminary in Pakistan’s Peshawar.
The blast happened while a cleric was delivering a lecture at the seminary in Dir Colony. The cause of the blast is not yet known but initial reports suggest an improvised explosive device (IED) was used in the explosion.
According to reports, the explosion went off minutes after someone left a bag at the madrasa.
Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off and police teams are collecting evidence.
