Priyanka Gandhi attacks UP government over ‘rising prices’

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday took a dig at Uttar Pradesh government over inflation and condition of traders, shopkeepers, street vendors in the state.

Taking to the microblogging site, Priyanka in a tweet said, “In Uttar Pradesh, during the festive season, inflation has wreaked havoc on common people. Vegetable prices are skyrocketing. Businesses are already shut. But the BJP government, which spent crores of rupees in false propaganda, is silent on the public’s problems.”

“Today, the PM will talk to some street vendors of UP. In the entire lockdown, street vendors and small shopkeepers were hit hard. It became difficult to run home, livelihood was ruined.
The street vendors, shopkeepers, small traders today need a special assistance package, not a loan,” Priyanka added.

Priyanka along with her tweet tagged the prices of various vegetables in Lucknow.
