Padma Shri recipient and former Hazoori Ragi of the Golden Temple, Nirmal Singh Khalsa passed away on Thursday morning, a day after he was diagnosed with coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
He died of cardiac arrest at around 4:30 am in Amritsar.
Singh had recently returned from abroad and was admitted to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital (GNDH) after he complained of breathlessness and dizziness on March 30, sources said.
