One terrorist was killed on Tuesday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “So far 01 #unidentified #terrorist killed. Operation going on. Further details shall follow.”
The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Goosu area of Pulwama based on intelligence information about presence of terrorists in the area.
As the forces encircled the suspected spot, hiding terrorists fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
Chinar Corps-Indian Army earlier in a tweet said, “Op Gosu (#Pulwama). Joint Operation was launched today early morning on @JmuKmrPolice inputs. Cordon was laid & contact established. Firefight ensued. Joint Operation in progress.
