Odisha MLA Prakash Chandra Behera on Sunday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
“Shri Prakash Chandra Behera (Congress MLA) joins BJP in the presence of Shri @dpradhanbjp, Shri @basantpandabjp and Shri @PandaJay,” BJP party tweeted.
Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Inducted Shri. Prakash Chandra Behera, Sitting MLA from Salepur constituency, Cuttack into @BJP4India in the presence of senior leaders of @BJP4Odisha. Welcome his decision of joining #BJP to fulfill the vision of a #NewOdisha under the leadership of Hon. PM Sh. @narendramodi.”
Behera quit the Congress on Saturday, saying that he was ignored by the party.
