Manohar Lal Khattar likely to take oath as Haryana CM tomorrow

Manohar Lal Khattar will take oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana for the second consecutive term on Sunday

The announcement came after Khattar was today unanimously elected as the leader of the BJP Legislature Party.

The post of deputy chief minister will be held by Dushyant Chautala’s party.

Khattar arrived at Chandigarh on Saturday morning to attend the BJP Legislature Party meeting.

Khattar will now meet Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya and stake claim to form the government.

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah had earlier said that the BJP-JJP alliance will run the government for the next five years.

Haryana’s BJP, which emerged as the largest party with 40 seats, fell six short of the halfway mark needed to form the next government.

The Congress won 31 seats, Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) 10 and others registered 9.
