Lok Sabha Elections: Mulayam Singh Yadav files nomination papers from Mainpuri in UP

Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday filed his nomination papers from Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Mulayam Singh won Mainpuri with huge margins in 1996, 2004, 2009 and 2014.

He was accompanied by his son and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav while filing his nomination.

The last date for filing nominations is April 4. The seven-phase Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to begin on April 11 and will end on May 19.
