Veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98. He was admitted to the ICU unit of Mumbai’s PD Hinduja Hospital on 30 June.
According to Dr Jalil Parkar -” Dilip Kumar passed away at 7:30 am on Wednesday after prolonged illness. He was suffered from advanced prostate cancer that had spread to other organs of his body.
A Family friend Faisal Farooqui posted from the actor’s Twitter handle. “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return,”
The legendary actor’s career spanned six decades in Bollywood. His funeral will take place later in the day in Juhu graveyard.
It was announced via his official Twitter account. “Burial today at 5:00 PM. Juhu Qabrastan at Santacruz Mumbai,” the tweet read.
