Karnataka government imposes night curfew till January 2 over new coronavirus strain

Karnataka government on Wednesday imposed night curfew between 10 pm to 6 am in the state, starting today till January 2 amid concerns over new coronavirus strain spreading in Britain.

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa today announced the decision after he held a high-level meeting with ministers and senior official to review the current COVID-19 situation in the state.

“As a precautionary measure to contain the spread of corona virus, Govt has decided to impose night curfew will across the state from 10 PM to 6AM starting today till 2nd Jan 2021. I request people to cooperate with the govt and strictly follow safety measures,” Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said in a tweet.
